Good location, is the only positive thing for this hotel.
They claim having a parking lot but that is not true. 17 TL for 24 h at the nearby Senator hotel.....no comment

The personnel was nice. The room was clean and they changed the towels frequently.
A more diversified breakfast and more international TV channels.

Staff was really very helpful. Location was OK for most of the city must-see points. If you prefer a bit more relax atmosphere (if you can find such in Istanbul) you should better go to a different city part.

Hotel is nice and in a perfect location. Rooms are clean.
Water drain is very slow. There is no removable shower head. Although it is stated free we were charged for the parking on the street and even no receipt was given.

Location was great, just 2 min walk to tram connecting you to the whole of Istanbul and removing the need to spend money on taxis. Some of the staff were really friendly and the rate was excellent.
The biggest complaint goes to the restaurant where the breakfast is served. It is a basement hall and it is so damp that even those 15 minutes you spend there eating breakfast really drag on as all you want to do is get out of there. The breakfast is too basic. We stayed 6 days and by the end of it we really got sick eating exactly the same thing each morning. But given the positives (location, rooms, price) these are not good enough reasons not to book History Hotel again.

Healthy breakfast and certain friendly staff. :)
Pillow was dirty, rooms were very small, lock-box was broken, constant smell of smoking, water drain was very slow.

The hotel is located just a 10-minutes walk from the Grand Bazar or 20- minutes of Sultanhamet. Is near of a tramway line (stations Aksaray or Laleli). Quiet street with some cafes on the sidewalk.
The room don't have a sound insulation betweeen rooms. You can listen noisy neighbours, telephones, doors opening and closing. Sometimes foam ear plugs is necessary.
